BEEF STEW - #2

2 lbs stewing beef
2 tbsp fat
1 garlic minced
1 bay leaf
6 onions
1 cup green peas
6 carrots
6 potatoes, diced
1/2 tsp gravy master
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp black pepper

Melt fat in saucepan and brown meat, add onions, bay leaf, Gravy Master, salt, black pepper and 2-1/2 cups water. Let cook for 2 hours, then add your vegetables and simmer for 1 hour except for peas, put them in when everything else is done.
