2 lbs ground chuck
2 slices fresh bread, crumbed
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chili sauce
1 medium onion chopped
4 tbsp butter
1 tsp salt
freshly ground pepper
4 slices bacon
2 Idaho baking potatoes, cut in thick slices, lengthwise
combine meat with bread crumbs, eggs, sou cream and chili sauce. Saute onion in butter until just wilted and add to mixture. Mix in salt and pepper and form into round or loaf shape. Place in a greased baking dish and cover with bacon slices. Surround with potato slices. Bake in a 350 degree oven 1 hour or until juices run clear. Bast potato slices from time to time with pan juices
