FOUR-STAR CHOCOLATE CHIPS

2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup (packed) light brown sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups (12 ounce package) semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup shredded coconut

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2. In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
3. In a large mixing bowl. cream the butter, sugars and vanilla with an electric mixer or a wooden spoon. Add the eggs, one at a tune, beating well after each addition.
4. Gradually beat in the flour mixture. Stir in the ~ chocolate chips, walnuts, raisins and coconut.
5. Drop the dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let the cookies rest on the baking sheets for 2 minutes before removing with a spatula to wire racks to cool completely.

Makes about 60 cookies.
