APPLE-RUM CUSTARD DESSERT

1/4 cup plus 1tbsp. margarine or butter, softened
2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/4 cup sugar
1 can (20 oz.) sliced apples, drained
1 pkg. (3 oz.) golden egg custard mix
1-3/4 cups milk
2tbsp. rum
1/4 cup raisins
Ground cinnamon
Heat oven to 350 degrees
CUT margarine into baking mix and sugar with fork until mixture resembles fine meal. Press on bottom and 3/4 up sides of ungreased square baking dish, 8x8x2"
Bake until light golden brown, about 15 min.; cool. Layer apple slices over crust.

MIX custard mix (dry) and milk in 1-qt. saucepan. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring constantly; remove from heat. Stir in rum; pour over apples.
SPRINKLE with raisins and cinnamon. Refrigerate until custard is set, about 1 hr. Serve immediately. 12 servings.

High Altitude Directions (3500 to 6500 ft.): Heat oven to 375 degrees
Bake 15 to 20 min.
