2 cups sugar
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon vinegar
2 egg whites
1 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
1. mix sugar, syrup, water and vinegar
2. cook without stirring, slowly, until forms to very firm, almost brittle boil
3. Pour over stiffly beaten egg whites and heat until creamy
4. add nuts and vanilla
