GOLDEN DOUGHNUTS

2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1-1/2 tbsp lard
6 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla
4 to 5 cups flour

Beat eggs until light. Add sugar and milk. Add dry ingredients. Add melted lard and vanilla. Roll about 1/3 inch thick and fry in deep lard. Dredge with powdered sugar.
