1 cup shortening
3 cups light brown sugar
4 eggs (well beaten)
2 cups pumpkin
1-1/2 cups raisins
5 cups flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
8 tsp baking powder
1. cream shortening, sugar, eggs and pumpkin
2. add dry ingredients and raisins
3. drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees - 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes
4. cool and frost with maple butter frosting (optional)
