TOAST COOKIES - CLARA'S RECIPE

12 eggs
18 tbsp melted shortening (oil)
24 tbsp sugar
8 tsp baking powder
2 tsp aniseed
2 tsp vanilla
flour (add enough to make dough workable) - long rolls 1-1/2 inches thick
bake 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool, slice and toast both sides.
