HOT TURKEY SALAD

2 cups cut-up cooked turkey or chicken
2 cups plain croutons
2 cups sliced celery
1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (about 2 ounces)


Mix all ingredients except 1 cup of the croutons and the cheese. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole or rectangular baking dish, 12x7-1/2x2 inches. Sprinkle with remaining croutons and the cheese. Cook uncovered in 350 degree oven until hot. 30 to 35 minutes.

6 servings.

Microwave Directions:
Prepare salad as directed above in 2-quart microwavable casserole. Cover tightly and microwave on high (100%) 3 minutes; rotate casserole 1/2 turn. Microwave until hot. 5 to 7 minutes longer.
