Bye Bye Butter Stuffing (recipe follows)
12-14 Lb. turkey
1. Prepare stuffing. Spoon stuffing lightly into neck and body cavities. ~ Place turkey, breast side up, on rack in shallow roasting pan. Brush with vegetable oil. Insert meat thermometer into thickest part of meat, not touching bone.
2. Roast at 325°F. 4 to 4-1/2 hr. or until thermometer reads 180°F. and center of stuffing reaches 165°F., basting occasionally with pan drippings.
3. Heat 2 jars (12 oz. each) Turkey Gravy. Serve with turkey and stuffing.
Serves 12 to 14.
Bake any remaining stuffing in covered casserole with turkey 50 min.
BYE BYE BUTTER STUFFING
In saucepan mix 3-1/2 cups Chicken Broth; 1/8 tsp. pepper, 2 stalks celery, coarsely chopped; 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped; and 1 cup sliced mushrooms. Over high heat, heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 5 min. or until vegetables are tender. Add 1 bag (16 oz.) Herb Seasoned Stuffing Mix lightly. Serve immediately or use to stuff a 12-14 lb. turkey.
